Old, historic beech trees accompany this forest path up to the summit of the Homberg.

A visit to the park can be combined with a hike along Route 1 through the forest to the summit of the Homberg. Old, historic beech trees line the forest path. The climb is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view from the stone observation tower over the treetops to Bad Wildungen or the forests of the Kellerwald National Park.EderseeIn good weather, you can even see the Hercules near Kassel.

Our tip

The observation tower on the Homberg was built in 1882 from rubble stones. Enjoy the tower view over parts of the Kellerwald, the Habichtswälder mountains and the Knüllgebirge.
