The stage runs straight through the expanded national park on the “Knorreichenstieg”, which is also marked with the service tree leaf. It has been attracting nature enthusiasts for several years now.
From the car park at the “Strieder Oak”, the route leads out of the Aseler Bay around the Katzenberg, at the top of which there is a magnificent view of the Edersee with a view of the southern national park. Then the path becomes narrower and rockier. The path winds its way through steep scree slopes with magical forest scenery along the Lindenberg – here you only have to go in single file. Occasionally, the Edersee through the curved treetops. Once you have reached the remains of the “Hünselburg”, the path continues down the Lindenberg ridge to EderseeFrom there, the path leads again through rustic forest scenery.
At one point, you have to avoid a landslide by following a secured path. Finally, the trail takes you through mixed deciduous forests to the Kahlen Hardt with its unique primeval forest remnants and beautiful views of Edersee and national park.
Into the Nieder-Werber Bay, deeply indented stream valleys have to be bypassed again and again.
