The "Kellerwald Jewels" are characterized by their scenic forest paths and breathtaking views. These jewels are carefully selected routes ranging from approximately 4,5 km to almost 15 km in length. If you enjoyed the hike, discover more gems of the Kellerwald and the Edersee Region.
The Schlossberg route 2 follows the Urwaldsteig past old city walls with a view of the Edersee. The trail leads through ancient beech forests on the Ziegenberg mountain, along winding paths along the steep slope to the pulpit. There is a magnificent view of Edersee, Waldeck Castle and a little further on the impressive dam wall.
