The Helenenquelle is located in the Helenental in Bad Wildungen.
Named after Princess Helene of Waldeck (1831 – 1888), wife of Prince Georg Viktor of Waldeck and Pyrmont, daughter of Duke Wilhelm of Nassau; formerly also called Salzbrunnen.
The Helenenquelle spring was first dug to a depth of 1696 m in 5,50. The spring water from the Helenenquelle is unique in Germany due to its special composition of beneficial components.
