Evangelical Church Nieder-Werbe

The Evangelical Church in Nieder-Werbe is one of the 14 churches located on Edersee and along the Eder Cycle Path. Equipped with a multimedia, accessible information system, the churches allow you to immerse yourself in the history of the church and the respective location, listen to devotions and musical pieces, solve puzzles, or get tips for your onward journey. 

It was built in 1914/15 in the style of the Wilhelminian Empire. Due to the construction of the Eder Dam and the creation of the EderseeThe former village church in the Werbetal valley had to withstand the “floods” of the Edersees, and the present church was rebuilt at the same time as an ensemble with the village school (now the "House of Nature," including a multimedia geo-foyer) and consecrated in 1915. Also worth seeing are the altar window and the ceiling painting, as well as a model of the former church.
