Book a spa holiday - do a lot for your health - get a pampering holiday

In a bus tour brochure, I saw an offer: "Spa vacation in Bad Wildungen in the last week of January." Why not do something good for my health, I thought, and signed up.

On Sunday I took part in a bus tour. We visited Fritzlar, Homberg and Melsungen. Tall half-timbered houses with 5 floors - I've never seen anything like it. We heard adventurous tales of impregnable castles, after all the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm were created here.

I visited the spa park and promenade, drank spring water, looked at exhibitions, visited the castle, strolled along the fountain avenue and wandered through the old town.

I experienced many small moments of happiness. I really enjoyed my stay at the Helenenquelle health center. I've never experienced such an outstanding, diverse buffet. There was even an African-themed buffet. The food alone is worth coming back for.

A gift from nature – discover consciously

Healing springs and quiet places

The spring landscape surrounding Bad Wildungen is an authentic natural experience and an expression of a deep connection between humans and nature. For centuries, the mineral-rich waters have brought new vitality and natural regeneration to the region. Today, people seeking relaxation, hikers, and cyclists also find peace here.

Many of the springs offer lovingly designed spots for pausing and relaxing. Whether in the tranquil Helenental valley, at the pavilion in the spa gardens with a view of Friedrichstein Castle, or in the peaceful atmosphere of the spring dome in the promenade hall, the surroundings everywhere invite you to consciously take a break. The water is freely accessible and can be drunk directly or filled into bottles you bring with you. Each spring has its own character, tasting sometimes gently sparkling, sometimes intensely mineral, or slightly acidic. However, the outdoor areas are closed during the winter months, and for hygiene reasons, filling bottles with water is not permitted in the promenade hall itself.

Bad Wildungen's unique location on the eastern edge of the Kellerwald forest forms the basis for its abundance of springs. On its way to the surface, the water flows through various rock layers, absorbing different minerals. Circular trails lead through green landscapes, mostly without significant inclines. They are ideal for quiet walks, even with children. Those who embark on these trails not only experience exercise in nature but also find peace, inner clarity, and inspiration.
